I am a registered supervisor with the Craniosacral Therapy Association. My skills in this area have developed over some time and have their roots in my assisting the Prenatal & Birth Foundation trainings and Process Workshops with Ray Castellino.
Whilst I continue to offer one to one sessions, I am now setting up a small supervision group. There are advantages to both settings.
Small group supervision provides:
- A supportive atmosphere for peers where anxieties and challenges can be faced together.
- The opportunity to see that others are facing similar issues
- Group support and process in reaching clarity and understanding.
- A setting that can feel less intense than one-to-one supervision.
- A useful format for practitioners who themselves work with small groups, which would include a parent bring a baby or young child to sessions.
- The cost of the group session per participant is less than for individual work.
One-to-one supervision provides:
- More time for the practitioner within the session.
- The opportunity to share and work with challenging material with just the supervisor rather than to relate it to a group, which may feel more challenging.
